Around the world in 7 days

I’M BACK!

I never thought the CNY break would be so full of activities. There were so many things to do, to watch, to attend and to celebrate! Time flew past me so quickly. It was there at first glance and disappeared at another. Like a lightning bolt. Sigh. Why does it have to happen so fast? I didn’t even have the chance to take a breather. hmm..

Last year old grannies and grandpas laughed at my broken mandarin. This year I came back with vengeance! Thanks to my dedicated mandarin teacher who taught me and my friends not only the basics of Chinese language but also the traditions and customs of a Chinese family. I’d never been so in love with my own religion!

I remember in each class we were taught to sing a song which we had to memorize then, learn the meaning of each word, write it and say it. On days when she's in a good mood, she'll pick one of us to sing out loud which spells D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. to me. I already sucked in chinese. What's even worse to sing it?? Anyway, being a big fan of Theresa Teng yue liang dai biao wo de xing and tian mi mi is a must in every class. The songs are a bit old but hey, at least they mean something right? Unlike modern songs nowadays, they barely mean anything.

Oh well, this CNY seemed to be quite jinxed. Bad things keep happening to people around me. Maybe that's the reason why I lost inspiration to write for the entire week. Mum had a bad fall on the 4th day of the lunar year. Just yesterday she had food poisoning. Another family member of mine seemed to have a bad case of cough and flu. My other half had a bad stomach last Friday. I drove past a funeral procession on Saturday. And I waited for the train for about 45 mins at the Mid Valley's station!!! (That's very disastrous)

It's quite saddening to think of how the year start off with so many negative events. But I hope it happened for good. Like to set off something worse or so. A bit of sacrifice like this is probably worth it for a bigger and brighter day in the future. So before the CNY comes to an end, here wishing everyone a very Happy and Prosperous Chinese Niu Year! May the ong be with you. (:

Peez~

Did I mention that I'm down with a terrible rash??
