Facial gone bad...

Ever wonder what goes on your face each time you go for your facial treatment? Ever had a thought that someone is actually sitting right beside you and watch you sleep while you’re having your mask on?

Gee,,, i had my worst experience ever recently. I’m terribly disappointed with the people that I’ve trusted my face with. I regret not taking Mum’s advice. I’m sorry for not listening to friends who told me about botchy treatments.

Last Sat I made an appointment with the beauty salon that I’ve been going to for almost 2 years, for an oats treatment. The treatments were good and everything went well until later that night, I started to feel an itch on the entire left side of my face. I put my hair up, tried to ignore the stinging feeling and went to bed early that night hoping to wake up to see my once spotless face again. But who could have guessed that on Sunday morning, the itchiness and redness spread to my ENTIRE face. WHO COULD HAVE GUESSED THAT LEE KEAN KEAN WILL LOOK LIKE A BABOON’S BUTT ON SUNDAY MORNING???

I was horrified. Mortified. There’s nothing I can do to make the itch go away. A blotchy face for a botchy treatment. There’s no one I can tell at home because I didn’t heed Mum's advice. It’s all my fault. I asked for it. Or maybe I deserved it after all.

By Monday, nothing gets better. It’s the same. Red. Itchy. And more. Red. Itchy. And more. Then I called up the salon to talk about the new package that I’ve just signed up for. I was sad and dejected. All I want is for my face to return back to normal. I want my old face back! I want my old face back! It’s so pathetic:(

I told the boss my story and asked if there’s any way I can get my money back. It had been quite a phobic experience and the last thing I want is for history to repeat itself again. So I dont want any facial treatments for the timebeing. She told me I won't get my money back. But I can exchange the money paid for a few Dermalogica products. When I said I don’t want any product that comes out of her salon, she brought another topic out. She claimed that it’s normal to feel itchy after using some of the beauty products, for instance, Miyome. There have been complaints about the itchiness if one doesn’t use it for only a day. So she suggests that we use it only 3 times a week. SO WHY TELL ONLY NOW???

WHY TELL ONLY WHEN THE SIDE EFFECTS STARTED TO SHOW????? DO YOU KNOW THAT THIS MEANS FROM THE DAY I STARTED USING MIYOME, I CAN NEVER LIVE WITHOUT IT EVER AGAIN??? IF I DO STOP USING IT, MY ENTIRE FACE WILL GO ITCHY AND GOD KNOWS WHAT I’LL END UP LOOKING LIKE AGAIN!!!! And what does this have to do with the facial package I’m talking about??? Clearly she’s trying to dodge the subject and divert me to something which she thought I didn’t know??? I’m an Miyome user too okay!!!! Sigh........................................................................

Well since we couldn’t settle it through the phone, I decided to meet the boss this morning. Armed with pictures of my baboon ass-like face and some of my law notes from last semester(:P), I marched calmly to the salon – trying to keep cool and not looking like a retarded housewife. (I somehow looked like a housewife with this condition)

We talked and discussed of how to settle things.

After lots of saliva flying across the table, the boss finally said that she will return my money. But for only half of it. So here comes the advantage of being a pure Hakka girl. I said a lot of things which I don’t quite remember but was quite offensive and that the boss and her employees could not talk back because I was talkin so fast that my phlegm almost came out:P:P:P:P.She was obviously afraid after the many statements I've made. So she changed her mind and pretended to be a real nice person saying that she will return 75% of it.

I was still very unhappy. I want my money back!!!! She said her decision was final. I want my money back!!!! She said that’s the most she can offer. I want my money back or I’ll bring this to court!!!! OK. WE’RE DONE HERE.

Guess she knows where I stand after all.

I get all my money back (for the package that I HAVE NOT started using yet) and also to return the Miyome which I’ve just bought last Sat.

She looked sad, scared and regret.

If you told me there are side effects for using Miyome on day 1, things wouldn’t have turned out this way today. I wouldn’t have bought the cream you introduced. I wouldn’t have returned and bought almost up to 20 bottles today. I wouldn’t have to spend a few thousand bucks for botchy facial treatments and creams.

So if you still think that I'm on the wrong side and you're right, think again.

But now, I’ll have to face the consequences all by myself.



And I thought Thursday is good for partyin. Sigh..
